| Is Apples to Apples available
in Spanish or French? |
| |
Apples to Apples will be available
in both Spanish and French. The Spanish Kids game will
be the first one out and should be available spring of
2007. Other Spanish sets will be done later in 2007.
The French Kids game will be available by the end of
the 2007 with the others to follow. |

| Which version of Apples to
Apples do you think would be best for fifth through eighth
grade students? |
| |
If you have to select one set, go with
the Apples to Apples Junior edition. It’s designed
to accommodate reading levels and the knowledge base
of most fourth graders and fifth graders. However if
you have a party box (for ages 12 and up) as well, you
could mix most of those cards in with the Junior 9+ and
have a great set for grades 5-8. There are definitely
cards you would want to pull from the adult set-but that’s
easy enough to do. If you check
our website you’ll
find lots of ideas for using Apples to Apples in a school
setting. |

| Can I get a list of the cards
included the various Apples to Apples sets? |
| |
Yes, the easiest way to find out what cards
are in any of the sets is to go to the Apples Fan Page www.com-www.com/applestoapples.
Not only will you be able to get a listing of the card
titles, the synonyms on the Green Apple cards, and the
Flavor Text on the Red Apple cards, but you will be able
to learn which cards have been modified or discontinued.
A special thanks to Russell W. for developing and maintaining
the fan page list. |
| |
| I noticed that your 2nd edition
of Apples to Apples Junior 9+ has twice as many cards
as the 1st edition, are there new cards in the 2nd edition? |
| |
Yes, the 2nd edition contains 576 cards
– the 288 cards included in the 1st edition plus 288
new cards. The 288 card 1st edition is no longer available. |

| Can players try to convince
the judge to pick a particular Red Apple card? |
| |
Yes, in fact table talk is encouraged.
Players can lobby the judge for their own card, or for
another card that they like better. In any event, the
judge's decision is always final. |
| |
| What if the judge picks a
card that a player really doesn't think should win? |
| |
Sorry, the judge's decision is always final. However, everyone gets a chance
to be the judge! |
| |
| What am I supposed to do with
the blank cards we received in our original game? |
| |
The blank cards are a way for you to customize
your game. You do this by writing the name of a person,
place, thing or event on the blank Red Apple cards with
a permanent marker. Write an adjective or adverb on the
blank Green Apple cards. |
| |
For fun, players will often add cards with the names
of family members, friends, sports teams, politicians,
and local attractions to the game. Teachers use the
Blank Cards to add people, places, things and events
related to current classroom curriculum. Additional
Blank Cards are available for purchase. |
| |
| Do players ever discard all
of the Red Apple Cards from their hands? |
| |
No, they simply replenish their hands back
up to five cards at the beginning of each round or game
by drawing a card from the Red Apple card stack. |
| |
| Do Apples to Apples Junior
and Apples to Apples Junior 9+ contain any of the same
cards? |
| |
No, the two junior sets contain completely
different cards. They can easily be combined for hundreds
of new combinations. |
| |
| Do Apples to Apples Junior
or Apples to Apples Junior 9+ contain any of the same
cards as in the Apples to Apples game for ages 12 and
up? |
| |
Yes, there are some card titles that appear in both a junior and the12 and up
version. These cards are approprite for both groups. Even if the card title
is the same, the flavor text, or the synonyms, are usually different. In any
case, the vast majority of the cards are unique to each individual set. |
