The Canadian Toy Testing Council appreciates your participation
in our ongoing toy testing program.
APPLES TO APPLES JUNIOR, APPLES TO APPLES and
MY WORD! were recently tested
by children in the CTTC's toy evaluation program and
a rating of "***" was assigned
to each one. Our proposed comments follow:
APPLES TO APPLES
Decisions, decisions! Kids took turns playing the
judge in this innovative comparison card game for four
to ten players. If the judge's card said "Creative",
for example, then the other players had to pick a card
from their hand that best matched the description, like
"The Beatles" or even "My Hair". The judge then had
to decide which one s/he thought was best. Decisions
were very subjective and the "matching" cards were often
amusing. Some players found certain words and famous
names of people unfamiliar and /or challenging. Great
family game. NOTE: Reading required.
