The Cloud 9 box is colorful and has a smattering of John Kovalic art on it.
The back panel does a stellar job of providing a detailed inventory of the
contents and a wide range of game information. The only drawback is that the
included balloon basket is not pictured, but drawn, and the basket and the
pawns that fit into the basket are a good selling point. A six copy cardboard
display is also available which will increase the impact the game has in your
store.
The high rating here is mostly to do with the value for the money. A $10 family
is a rare find these days, and Cloud 9 delivers a fantastic game and components
for a lower than average price. For a light family game, you can’t go
wrong with selling Cloud 9.
Cloud 9 is a light game suitable for families or adult game groups looking
for a quick, low-thinking game. In Cloud 9 you must judge when an opponent
will be unable to play the cards they need to make the balloon basket advance.
Dice and cards are both present, but bad luck can be overcome by astute guesswork.
Cloud 9 is a highly recommended addition to your Out of the Box games. This
is an ideal game for families or game groups looking for a strong, fun game
that is short and isn’t heavy or strategic.
