| Object of the Game |
| |
To end your turn with a line of 3 in a row,
EITHER of one color in 3 different shapes, OR
of the same shape in three different colors.
The pieces in a winning line must be next to
each other. |
 |
|
 |
| One shape in three colors. |
|
Three shapes of one color. |
|
| |
Note that 3-in-a-row with each piece of a different
color AND different shape does NOT win. |
 |
|
  |
NOT A WIN: The 3 in a
row must share EITHER
the same color, or shape. |
|
NOT WINS: A winning 3-in-a-row NEVER
contains two pieces that are identical. |

| |
| How to Play - for 2
players |
| |
You each take 9 pieces, one of each combination
of color and shape. Keep them where everyone
can see them, off the board. |
| |
To start, one player places a piece on any
intersection. (NOTE - pieces may only rest on
intersections.) Play then alternates. |
| |
On your turn, first place a piece. Then slide
one neighboring piece. This completes the turn. |
| |
The piece that you add must be placed next
to a piece that has room to slide elsewhere.
The sliding piece can travel any distance in
a straight line, but cannot cross an occupied
intersection. |
 |
| |
NOTE: If there are no pieces around an intersection,
then that intersection cannot receive a piece
placement because there will be no piece to slide. |
 |
| |
Likewise, if an intersection is completely
surrounded by pieces but none of them can slide
elsewhere, then a piece cannot be placed on that
intersection. |
| |
At the end of each turn, the board is examined
for a winning row. Note: A 3-in-a-row made by
placement does not win until after a piece slides.
If one of the pieces in the 3-in-a-row slides
away to complete the turn, then this is not a
win and play continues. |
 |
| Winning |
| |
You win if, at the end of your turn, you form
a 3-in-a-row of EITHER one shape in all 3 colors
OR all 3 shapes in only one color. The 3 pieces
must be adjacent. It does not matter who originally
placed them, nor who later slides them. |

Here are examples of the basic winning moves: |

| |
If no further play can be made,
then the LAST person to play wins. |
