Another in this series is Quadtria. This two-player game
can be over in 5 minutes if you aren't alert to your opponent's
moves. The wooden board has four square quads which are subdivided
into triangles, and 5 points within each in which wooden balls
can be placed. There are connecting passages that allow movement
of the balls within quads as well as to other quads. Players
start with 5 balls in quads in opposite corners of the board.
The goal is simple - be the first to form a new triangle of
3 balls within any quad. You are restricted from doing this
in your starting quad until all of your balls have been cleared
from it. We played three games and seemed to use more strategy
in each one, as the games went a bit longer, but not over
10 minutes. This is a nice filler for
2 players and is another beautiful game for a coffee table
or desk at work. We rated it a 7. Try it - you'll like
it.
