Educational Aspects of Squint

In Squint players use graphic shapes to form pictures while other players try to guess the object in the picture. Simple lines and shapes develop into images that can be surprisingly easy to recognize.

This game reflects communication of ideas through representational images. Players begin to recognize how shapes take on meaning and develop “short hand” ways of communicating ideas with a minimal number of shapes. For example, a circle, with two smaller circles appropriately placed, becomes a face.
